Kenyan rugby is our primary validation environment.

Kenyan rugby provides an ideal environment for validating participation infrastructure due to its strong community culture, mobile-first payment ecosystem, and significant opportunity for digital transformation. Current deployments focus on establishing measurable participation systems, operational intelligence, and sustainable monetization models that can be replicated across clubs, leagues, and federations throughout Africa.

Challenge

Community participation remains one of Kenyan rugby's greatest assets, yet most of its operational value is lost through fragmented systems, manual processes, and disconnected data. Clubs have limited visibility into supporter behaviour, membership engagement, volunteer activity, matchday operations, and commercial performance, making long-term planning and sustainable revenue growth difficult.

Approach

The deployment introduces an integrated participation infrastructure built around three complementary systems:

  • SYS/01 — Intelligence Layer

    HDDN Intelligence establishes the first-party intelligence layer, capturing participation, operational, and engagement data across the rugby ecosystem.

  • SYS/02 — Execution Layer

    Ball Mbele provides the operational execution layer, supporting planning, workflows, volunteer coordination, and matchday management.

  • SYS/03 — Participation & Monetization Layer

    FanPan delivers the participation and monetization layer, enabling digital fan engagement, memberships, mobile payments, predictions, rewards, and measurable supporter interactions before, during, and after matches.

Together, these systems convert participation into measurable institutional intelligence while strengthening operational efficiency and creating new commercial opportunities.
